Schmidt | Sweeper | CJS 600 – Compact Jet Sweeper
- Agile multi-functional jet sweeper
- Reliable snow removal at high clearing speeds
- Controlled via an intuitive interface
Clearing process
Three process steps in a single operation:
1.The snow plough clears the majority of the snow to the side.
2.The brush clears away the remaining snow and slush.
3.The liquid de-icer sprays the runway.
Snow plough
Clean and aggressive clearance is achieved with the Schmidt Cirron snow ploughs. These are designed for demanding clearing of large quantities of snow. The Cirron has a flat blade shape and, together with a 7° angle of attack of the cutting edge, ensures rapid snow clearing. The Cirron is equipped with a patented override system that enables safe driving over obstacles without damage for safer operation.
Sweeping unit
The sweeping unit is mounted between the axles of the vehicle. It is raised and lowered hydraulically via a link lifting device. The broom is driven by hydraulic motors which are supplied by a hydraulic pump installed on the vehicle. A brush width of up to 4,900 mm and aerodynamic snow guidance ensure that the snow is ejected to the side and outstanding clearing is achieved.
Liquid De-icer
The sprayer has a tank capacity of 10,000 litres, which means that large areas can be de-iced in a single operation. The high quality polyethelene tanks are suitable for all de-icing agents. The de-icing agent is applied from the rear of the vehicle via variable flow nozzles, which ensure constant pressure and reduce mist formation. The spraying width is adjustable between 4 – 12 m and asymmetrical spraying is also possible.
Control concept
The CJS 600 is controlled via an intuitive interface with an integrated control panel for operating the snow plough, brush and rear mounted sprayer. The colour graphic display and synchronous control of all components allow fast and reliable operation of the working functions. The parameters can be fine-tuned to meet the customer's needs, allowing the driver to concentrate on driving and achieving the best possible clearing performance.
